Brilliance control problem on a HP Pavilion

Hi Everyone, My wife received as a gift of a used HP Pavilion DV7t-3100 and I ran a fresh install of Win 7 Pro 32 bit and find myself unable to adjust the brilliance. Reading a few posts others have had same problem with different makes and all mention Win 7 overwriting a file that controls this function and a manufactures driver file has to be re-installed after the Win 7 installation. My problem is I don't know which file this would be and would appreciate any help. Many thanks...

 

Most probably the original graphics driver is what you need to install, from HP.

HP USA: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

Use whichever website is appropriate for the country that particular laptop was produced for, otherwise that model number may not be listed.
