Bringing back hidden files

    When I try to view hidden files via Folder Options they still stay hidden. I log in as administrator and I can view my hidden files with cmd and change their attributes but I just wanna view them changing from the options menu. Any help?

    If you scroll down just a bit further in Folder Options>View there is an option for "Hide operating system files" have you unchecked that box as well?

    My thought was that the files he wants to view may be System files and therefore would remain hidden even if Show Hidden files was checked.
