ive just upgraded my broadband from 512k to 2meg with wanadoo

ive noticed a big difference in speed on most sites upload/download but when viewing forums and images in forums its like ive gone back to 56k

is there eneything that needs setting in xp or explorer to get best peformance?

could it be a grafix card problem slowing down the loading of the images my card is kindof old

You could also search for TCP Optimiser to tweak your new found freedom.

Most ISPs provide only good d'load speeds
The browsing speeds are a bit low in some ISPs..
hope that's your problem.. Anyway try to tweak with your settings for max. performance

Download speeds and browsing are the same, the thing you referring to is upload speeds which generaly are much less then your down speed by your isp.
