i have a netbook that the screen is broke ,well no crack, but a jumbled unreadable picture like its broke inside

it can be used with external monitor but do you think its a danger to health in some ways?

No. As long as there are no exposed wires anywhere, there will be no health hazards.

Note this could be a simple fix as it could simply be a loose wire to the netbook's monitor. Of course opening the case is often best left to a pro, but if you need portability, it might be worth having it checked out.

i loaned it to a friend and it came back bad--picture looks like an abstract painting--doubt if its a loose wire

Sounds like a crimped or loose wire or connection to the internal monitor to me. Otherwise, the external monitor would show the same problem. Working right on the external monitor says the computer itself, and it's graphics solution are working fine.

A crimped wire is not likely unless your friend took the netbook apart and crimped/pinched a wire putting it back together. So back to a loose wire.

Typically, when a display panel fails. you see lines, a dim display, flashing display - not jumbled or abstract images.

Call around and ask. You will not get an exact price because they cannot commit until they determine exactly what is wrong. Troubleshooting the problem is typically most labor intensive task when fixing computers. Actually replacing the part takes seconds. I would think you could ask how much they charge per hour or even 1/2 hour. If only a loose connector, 1/2 hour is all it would take. But if the actual notebook display panel is bad, then of course, labor would be more, then plus parts.

It cost me $100 ...... $50 for labor and $50 for the used screen.

$50 for labor would suggest 1 hour, which sounds right - and good. Many charge $65/hour or more. $50 for the screen is a good price but of course that depends most on availability and then size.
