'broken links'

compaq celeron 333 w/win 98 se 96 mg ram. Was using dial-up for years with no problem. Back in January I switched to verizon dsl and have found over a period of time, I could no longer click on links in e-mail and go to wherever. I just sit there with a smaller browser box open not going anywhere. As well I can no longer insert from my address book, i pick the names and then insert and i go nowhere. I called verizon up on this, we did a share the screen thing, i showed them the problems and all I get from them is it's a low resource thing. I have even gone so far as to blow down the hard drive to nothing and start from scratch......still the same thing. Any ideas?

 

the guys in software section told me where to go and it fixed the problem, thanks for the help and consideration
