Broken Power Input In External Hdd

Hi all, I made a boo-boo today. I started cleaning my room and the cords were a bit of a rat's nest with some of them not even in use, so naturally I just tried yanking them. Cue to tonight when I want to watch a movie and it says 'can't open file on E:drive', which is a WD 1TB external hard drive and upon inspection, the USB was bent and the power cord is nowhere to be seen. Upon further inspection, it seems the power plug is broken off in the hdd housing. IDK if I can get the plastic out of the female socket, although I might if I found a drill bit small enough to drill a hole (or holes) into the plastic and use a needle or something to get the remainder out then buy a new adaptor off ebay or something, but barring that, IDK what to do other than crack open the housing and install the hdd in the computer (or re-download a terabyte of movies). Anyone got any ideas? Can the hdd be used this way or is there going to be a compatibility issue? I've had this hdd for over a decade at least so I can't remember anything of what I might have read about it but I think I remember reading people ask the same question around the time I bought it. Pic related, the top one is the one with the broken plug while the bottom one is unbroken. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Note- forgot to add, the model # for the hdd is WDBAAU0010HBK-01

 

Update- I just remembered I have a manual drill that was my Grandpa's and was able to drill out the plastic. Went a little too hard at one point (yikes, maybe should have waited until morning!) but unless that's a deal-breaker (remains to be seen), it looks like I can buy a new power cord off Ebay or Amazon. Will report back, thanks again!
