Hi , I just was givin a Dell Inspiron B120 laptop. The screen is broken and I can not view anything. I tried to hook up a monitor but it did not work. I have two questions.
    1. How can I use an external monitor?
    2. Are the screens on ebay worth buying as a replacement.
    Thanks for any help.

Do you have the manual? If not, go here http://support.dell.com/support/top...support_central?~ck=ln&c=us&l=en&lnki=1&s=gen
and see if you can download one. You may need to put in a number from the bottom of the notebook. I wasn't having any viewing nor downloading a manual unless I could supply a service number.
My notebooks have a key that I tap to allow the notebook screen or an external monitor or both. I really don't know what key you'd need to tap to see the display on an external monitor.
