'Bronzing' effect started happening on video card? Games & Movies...

Hey guys,

A few days ago, my nVidia 7600 was working fine; I came back tonight and although it's functioning, it's not functioning... correctly.

It's not slowing down, or jerking or anything like that - It's just started 'bronzing' things, both games and movies for no reason whatsoever, almost like watching in 16-bit colour, for example.

I WAS on the latest driver, which I've checked is STILL the latest driver, and so I used driver cleaner in safemode to remove it, and reinstalled it after a restart - Problem still occurs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the 'settings' panel for Properties on the desktop, shouldn't the colour res be like... 256 or something? Because I only have 32 as my highest available option.

Just tried to reinstalled again after uninstalling the card itself - Still no change. Basically it looks to me like a colour quality issue; like there's not enough colour pixels for my PC to use (it's affecting pictures as well).

How do I solve this?

 

Might it be worth noting that I think my monitor is dying - For the past half a year, if I turn it off for a short period of time, it flickers horizontal lines for ages before settling again. It's a flatscreen TFT thing I got like, 4 years ago or something.

Is it likely that certain colour pixels are dying in the monitor?
