Browser Add-on To Block Scripts?

Scripts routinely grind my browser to a halt.

Is there any browser add-on that automatically stops scripts from running?

If so, is it available for IE11?

 

In Internet Explorer.
Click the gear icon, -Internet options- Security tab- Select a zone, choose Internet.- Security level for this zone, Custom level,click button to open the Security Settings - Internet Zone window.
Scroll down the page until you find the Scripting section.
Under the Active scripting header, click disable-- Click Yes to change the settings for this zone?
Click OK on the Internet Options window to exit.
Restart Internet Explorer (shut down Internet Explorer)
To reverse it, if it does not act as you wish,just go back and un-tick disable
