browser hijacked?

    im not sure if my browser has been hijacked or not. i use mozilla firefox as my browser.
    i read over some of the threads to see what the "symptons" are.
    i noticed about a week ago, my homepage had been changed but it wasnt changed to anything bad or any search engine. it was changed to the homepage from mozilla firefox. i also noticed yesturday that my favorites list has been erased.
    i havnt had any other browers pop up, i havnt had the brower page im on to go to any page i havnt asked it too, my computer/internet hasnt been running slow.
    everything seems the same except for the homepage change, and favorites erased.
    i ran spybot search and destroy, and spyware doctor and came up with nothing.
    i do have Agnitum firewall, so shouldnt that have stopped anything if my browser was hijacked?
    was my browser hijacked?
    i havnt downloaded hijackthis yet, i want to wait to see what people think first.
    any help/suggestons appriciated, thanx

    Did you put your home page back to what you want? And has it changed again?
    As far as Favorites did you save some more and then see if they got erased again?
    Firewalls will not necessarily stop a hijack.

    You should follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

    After that, let me know if you still have any problems.

    i put my homepage back to what it was a couple days ago and it hasnt changed since. i had alot of my favorites saved in a .doc file so it was easy to replace them and they havnt been erased again, and i havnt experienced any other problems

    Okay! But you may want to run the steps in the link I gave you anyway to see if they find anything. Most of the time they do.
