I have a proprietary software that runs as a web site, typically using IE8. Recently certain PCs (XP and Vista) have begun having problems with the software. When testing this problem with Firefox, it shows that a browser plug-in is missing, but cannot identify what is missing. Assuming the same issue with IE, a missing add-on, the question becomes -

How can you identify which add-on/plug-in is needed by a web site and is missing from the browser?

Have a look in FF profile folder see if the addon is listed in there !
