When I type in a search criteria on the Brave browser, I receive this pop-up on the Google results page:
    "Search with an AI-powered boost"
I assumed this came from a browser addition, but I've disabled the most recent one I added and it's still happening. Any have suggestions on how to go forward? Thanks.

    Greetings.

When you are on a Google search page let me know if you see anything related to Search Labs. It may be an icon looking like the attached.

I just attempted 5 Google searches. I don't see Search Labs, or the initial pop-up I mentioned. It did have that same color scheme, though. I"m not sure why the pop-up only appears randomly.

By color scheme are you referring to the picture in the file I attached?

Yes, that blue and purple color scheme was the color of the pop-up.

    OK, thank you.

Your computer is not compromised, this is a new experimental feature.

Copy and paste the below web address into the address bar then hit Enter. Let me know if there is any option to turn it off.

    Code:
     https://labs.google.com/search/experiments

Thanks. The option does appear, and was already turned off. (I've never been to that address before, though.) Weird that it was appearing in the first place.

What is odd is that you apparently have to proactively request the ability to experiment with Google Labs. Not sure how it happened on your system but you should be able to disable it from this point forward. Having said that, there have been complaints about not being able to disable it but that seems to be isolated to Google on cellphones.

How are things other than that? Any other problems or questions before I post some cleanup instructions and other information for your review?

    • Right click on the icon and select Run as administrator
    • Click Yes on the Disclaimer

    • Click Run
