Browser shut down

so..everytime i go 2a site 2download music..movies..etc..and i choose what i want 2download and begin to download it..my browser just shuts down...window closes and evrything..i hv 2reboot IE xplorer evrytime after wards and it keeps doin it evrytime...can anybody help..thanks fellaz

What websites are you downloading from? Are you downloading movies to save for later, or watching a streaming movie?

Im downloading movies to watch later...i had a pop up on my screen that said my pop up was corrupt and i needed 2uninstall and reinstall through administrator account ..which i can only find in safe mode..i also ran an antivirus in safe mode and found a trojan.unknwn browser/driver virus...needless to say...i have done these things and the same 2damn pop up ads keep sneakin thru evry now and again also along with the shutting down of the browser after i choose a download..thanks for replying bro

Yea man...ive cleared out all of the infection in my pc...i had a few bad viruses not 2long ago..and ive gotten evrything out except for the one pop issue...pop ups are still coming thru..and i get a message that says.. "pop up popper corrupted..please delete and reinstall through administator" i hv deleted and reinstalled IE7 a few times since then..hoping mayb it was in the tool bar but i cant seem 2find the source of the prob with the popup issue and my scans show nothing unsual and doesnt remove anything 2stop it..im using Xosoft..Windows Defender..Cyberdefender..Spybot..Superantispyware..and Advanced Windows care 3..im using all of those hoping i catch evrything but again..still the pop ups comin thru and that pop up message i wrote about above..and yea..my browser still shuts down aftr a download is chosen for a movie torrent..damn..its annoying as hell..thanks for your time and help man..hopefully you or someone on here can help me out ..this is an ongoing prob for over a week now..

You post ended up for moderation due to the overuse of ..........'s flags up in the spamfilter, so sorry about that, but back to your issue, if your still having popups then you are still infected with something and the guide and steps Kestrel linked you too will help, there are some specific scans in that guide that are unique to Majorgeeks and these will allow our resident malware experts to find the cause and issue you some manual removal instructions.

These days while autoscanners are very good, they cannot keep up with the random name changes that many malwares use to hid themselves.

So please do do the steps listed and create a new thread in the malware forum and outline your problem again.
