Browsers getting locked

    While surfing on the internet all browsers I tried are getting locked for 5 seconds and then they come back again. It seems unimportant but it happens constantly and it's really annoying. It shouldn't be about the speed of the internet and I have a decent system with 1GB ram and Pentium-4 processor. I cleaned up my registry and tried some tweaking problems but it still occurs. What do you think the cause is?
