I have Garmin Edge 800 and upload to Garmin Connect using Firefox. Have done for a couple of years no problems. Firefox stopped loading that page, everything else works normally, I can manually enter typed in data but no files with data. Tried reinstalling, uninstalling browser, still no go. IE9 does not normally work with this device, some days it will but is known to have problems. Downloaded Safari, and it worked, uploaded all exercises etc. Couple days later it too will not work. Again Uninstalled reinstalled browser, uninstalled device and files from computer and reinstalled, downloaded CommunicatorPlugin301exe and even now it states that the device is connected and working, but the browser will not load the upload page which is supposed to have three items: upload files, upload manually and upload weight files. I have Avast Internet Security, and use CCCleaner everyday clearing cache etc. Window 7 64 To my knowledge I don't think that I changed anything, tried system restore but didn't solve the problem, and no further later dates available. I am not that computer literate and don't know what else to do. Garmin Support haven't been able to help, they tried by remote but I am still stuck. Can anyone offer some sort of advise on what to do. Garmin state that the divice is working properly and something on the computer is stopping the page from loading up properly. But what?

I received a reply to my problem as per partly posted below. This does not make any sense to me at all, the message is a lot longer with links etc. I have not posted the whole message not sure If I should, but the strange things is it does not appear on the message board at all. It has a member name that sent it I presume. The message continues in this vein throughout.
"Malfurion and the restof the druids cheap wow gold (ugamesale), it could be said that Azeroth was change betterrepresented" etc.
Is it really a reply, to my problem or just nonsense. I am not inclined to click on any of the links that are included in the message, it seems suspect to me.

my absolute least favorite answer in the world when I call my go-to guys for a problem i can't solve -- What anti-virus are you using? Is it equipped to handle rootkit infections? When did you last update and scan?

if you want to double check it, kaspersky has a nice 30 day trial of their anti-virus. It has saved me recently when nothing else was working. If Kaspersky turns up anything, you need to head over to the malware forum for a cleansing!

I have Avast Internet Security Version 6.0.1289 Virus Definitions Vers 111027-1
Have also run Malwarebytes Anti Malware and it has not found anything. I will look at Kapersky and see if it finds anything. Thank You

That fake message is sort of disturbing. Did you find anything in the system? I'm glad you were skeptical of the links.

I have intermittent problems with my uncle's garmin for golf. It drives me crazy. No matter what computer it is on, it doesn't cooperate. I wonder if there is an update that is giving you grief. I recently had to uninstall an update, I'll find the number of it for you.

And Avast isn't interfering with the connection, right? I had Kaspersky block me from getting into my FTP server. It just failed the login information as if I had the password wrong, didn't say anything else. I turned off the internet filtering and it logged on just fine.

I downloaded Kapersky Trial and ran it. It did not find anything. Because I had to uninstall Avast I then removed Kapersky and installed Avast again. Not sure what is going wrong. Garmin Edge 800 is a cyclist GPS and exercise gathering gadget, we upload to Gamin Connect have been doing this for years with no problem. I always used Firefox, IE is not the best for this and does not work with Ancestry. I have stopped Avast and it still will not properly load the page that I need to upload the exercises. With both Firefox and Safari which worked for about 2 weeks, I am unable to see images like I used to, everything else seems to be working properly. Malwarebytes did not find anything, to my knowledge I have not changed anything or had not installed anything to make this change. I don't know what else to do, I thought that if I uninstalled the browsers and reinstalled that would work but it hasn't. As for the weird so called help message, it is worrying as i just clicked on it so if it had something to infect my computer hopefully Avast would have stopped it. I really need someone to advise how to get the full functions back into the browsers because in my limited way of thinking it has to be something simple as to why the browsers do not load fully on certain web pages. Thank you :cry
