Not really a problem, but looking for tips or tools or anything...
Where I work, I would like to use Firefox for all internet pages and iexplore for all local pages in the network.
So every page I click on, or open from a mail, or open from a shortcut (or whatever) that is reachable without going to the outside should be opened in iexplore. And everything on the outside (www), should be opened with firefox.
Any ideas? I would be glad to hear them :drool

    Thanks

before you make a change to your work pc, make sure that the it admin(s)/tech(s) approve of the change. That includes installing Firefox.

As is, do you currently have only internal lan/wan access and nothing internet? If so, then there is a reason for that, and your IT guys/gals will likely say no to Firefox. However, if you are allowed to browse the internet, then getting their permission will likely make things happier for you in the future.

Thanks for the answer, but I doubt you understood my question. It's no problem, must be me, English is not my native language.
Actually I am an admin, I am tech support and I install whatever I like, all though my boss can be freaky about this. That's why I want all local addresses opened in the standard Internet Explorer, and all my personal internet stuff in Firefox.
I can get the range of addresses that needs to be opened in Internet Explorer, they are in the proxy exception list in internet explorer's settings. But how can I let windows automatically open these addresses in internet explorer, and all the rest in Firefox. I wonder if this is possible somehow

If you have IE 7, then set each internal page as a 'homepage tab' in the homepages section of internet options. That way, it loads all of them everytime you open IE. With firefox, just set it to allow you external access, and personalize it the way you want.
