I need a browser that won't crash every two or three days. I have tried Chrome, FF, PaleMoon and Edge.

You need to find out why all those browsers are crashing.
I have never had Firefox crash, or Internet Explorer 9 which is old and unsupported.

I have been using Opera for about 85% of surfing since Feb '17. Can't remember it ever crashing. I started using it 'cuz IE11 would always have some sort of problem. IE still does, so I swap to Opera and everything just works.

I have no idea. All malware scans are clean.
Just downloaded and will see if it runs for a few days.

How much memory do you have? I only have browsers crash when they run out of memory.

Can you explain what "crash" means? Does it freeze or close? Is it unusable afterwards and you have to reboot the computer or reinstall the browser? Did you discover anything related with the browser crash (e.g. a lot of open tabs or running the browser along with a certain program)? Did you observe CPU and memory use and is it getting critical?

By crash, I mean it locks up..freezes. Have to use task manager to close them. Usually only 4 tabs running. No other programs running. Unfortunately, I did not notice memory usage.

It's very unusual for 4 different browsers to freeze.
Something is hogging either the CPU or RAM.

    4 gigs

What's using 64% of the memory?

I have just 3 GB RAM & a 1.8 GHz Celeron CPU running Windows 7 Ultimate. Currently there are 4 tabs open in Firefox 56.0.2.
    Look at my memory usage.

    Windows Search index: 13.2 mb
    360 Anti-virus: 46mb
    Windows Explorer: 44.5 mb
    Opera: 776 mb
    Those are the biggest hogs.

I agree with Eldon. Having the same issue with 4 browsers is unusual. I still believe the culprit is rather a background process or service.
Just an idea ... You wrote that it happens once in 3 days. Is there anything scheduled to run every three days. E.g. an AV system check. Also have a look at you task scheduler. One of the columns shows the last runtime. Maybe one of the times matches your last browser crash.

    That's still not 64%.
Also, in task Manager you need to look at the Peak Working Set (Memory). Do this the next time the browser freezes.

Nothing has run in Task Scheduler in the last 7 days.

There were a crap load of minor services with 1 or 2 mgs or less.

Unlikely ;) Maybe you only checked the scheduled tasks in the root. Expand the folders in the left bar.

    Apple software at 2pm
    Office software protection ...12am
    XBL game save....4 days ago.

That's it. Crashes never occurred at these times.

    I would run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair.
    You've got nothing to loose.

Tweaking didn't report any issues. Asus says to do a hard reset and defrag....what a joke.

Try this as an experiment--download a portable version of a browser and see if it crashes.

Almost a week since I changed to Opera....no slow downs, no crashes.

Flash plugin always kept my Chrome freeze and I have to shut it down. Since I uninstalled and disabled Adobe Flash, Chrome works very well.

I have IE and after I Login to YouTube I click on my Playlist on the Left hand side.
After it opens I can scroll up and down all my Videos.

If I put my Mouse over the Left side of the Video over the Number I get Cross Hairs.

But when I click to Drage it to another spot it does not move.

Do I have to Unlock It or something?
