    I'm getting a huge amount of recurring 0x101 BSOD's.

I'm not sure what's causing them. It started last night roughly around 9:30pm.
I was playing Rift when suddenly crash. I'm guessing this is a software issue as it only occured once while in safe mode. Its guaranteed to happen when I play Rift, but does occur at other times, once was immediately after logon in normal mode right after startups finished.

I don't have the debugg utility to read the .dmp files, so have no clue. I did scan and check all my drivers and none seem to be faulty although I did remove and reinstall my video and network drivers just to make sure. Still getting the error. When the computer manages to boot in an apparently stable normal mode I don't get the BSOD. I'm able to get on IE or firefox and browse the web.

It's possible this is hardware, but it seems like it's set off by certain things in windows.
I've not gotten the BSOD prior to logon, and only once in the 10 times in safemode.

Like I said, it's guaranteed to happen if I play Rift even with the graphics at minimum settings, but will occur even if Rift isn't running. I checked event viewer but couldn't find anything specific to point at what could be causing this.

The only things that have occurred in the last 2 days were I installed Curse Client, which I've since removed. There was a patch update for Rift(possible this is having an affect) and an update for Adobe Flash. Last windows update was on the 28th.

I tried attaching the 1st and last .dmp files, but they won't zip for some reason.

Anyone know how I can get them attached for viewing?

Times and conditions this has occured

Safemode - once(5 times in this mode)
Safemode with networking - never(5 times in this mode)
    Normal Startup - Several

Twice after startups finished before I did anything
3 times shortly later after I started opening and closing various windows and programs
5 times while playing rift including the first occurrance

At the time of this post I've been on the computer for about 2 hours without any issues. I'm going to start Rift again to see what happens.

    Three crashes since last post

Ran Rift, crashed 5 minutes into the game.
Rebooted, crashed again during logon process
Rebooted, crashed when I was trying to load a page from this forums
    Rebooted, no crash so far.

Well after a series of extensive updates, including the bios, I thought I had this licked.
Played Rift for around 2-3 hours then watched some Daily Bubble videos for about an hour. Went back on Rift and about 20 mins in it crashed again. Shut down and felt around inside video card was hot, so I added another fan to help cool it.
Rebooted, was on my way here to see if anyone had any ideas and it crashed again. Checked for a hot video card again, was warm but not nearly as hot as last time.

I'm racking my mind trying to figure this out. Memory checks out ok, processor seems fine and video self tests run fine. I just don't know what's causing the clock interupt in a secondary processor.

By secondary processor does it mean one of the other cores or like the northbridge or southbridge?

Northbridge heatsink was pretty warm, and the mounting seems loose, should I pull it and reapply some thermal paste?

I posted this in software, because that's what I think the problem is, but if you think it's hardware I'll move there.

Still can't get the .dmp files to zip for some reason.

Here we go, some of the files were gone, here's the last 2, both happened within the last 30 mins.
