BSOD, help?

Hi guys,

My mum got a new laptop (HP Pavilion dv7-6101sa) and has been a problem right from the start with blue screens. It's been ok for the past few weeks, but today it got a new blue screen (REFERNCE_BY_POINTER) - the screen went blank before I could get any of the information down. When I did a cold restart (by holding down the power button so it shuts down then turning it back on again) the caps lock button was flashing and nothing happened. So I took the battery out and waited a few minutes and put it back in and it worked fine for 10 minutes before I moved the laptop and it blue screened again. I got all the information this time:

Any ideas as to how to stop this from happening?

She should have returned it immediately. A new computer should work. There might be something wrong with the hardware and no amount of tweaking is going to fix a hardware problem.

My friends bought a new Dell desktop and I spent an hour Monday trying to get things to work. It wasn't happening so I told then to return it with a list of simple things that the computer could not do. I said, have the techs show you that this computer can do these things! He returned the computer and came home with a new Dell, same model. I worked on it on Tuesday and it has been trouble free, unlike the first one.
