Hello everyone. I realize there are many other posts about the igxpdx32.dll error out there, but I don't believe any of them are exactly the same as mine, so I wanted to make sure I put my actual problem out there so I could get specific and appropriate advice for my own problem.

Anyways, in order to understand the complexity of my situation, I have to include a bit of backstory. The computer I am having the problem with is a new Dell Vostro 1510. I received it about 3 weeks ago. Between then and now, I installed games including Combat Arms, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4. While playing Call of Duty 4, once the loading screen for a level started, the program would freeze and if would alt+tab and could see there was a window that said DirectX Error, but I couldn't actually open the window and see it's contents. I figured my system was not advanced enough to play the game and I uninstalled it.

When playing Call of Duty 2, I was able to play fine as long as I set the graphics settings to the lowest. However, when I play Combat Arms, every now and then I would get a BSoD (it didn't identify igxpdx, dll at the time).
At one point, I also tried to install Driver from the DELL website. However, I think I may have made a mistake and installed too many drivers or installed drivers that corresponded to hardware that was not on my actual computer.

Anyways, in the midst of all these problems, I performed a Factory Image Restore yesterday. Since then, all I have done is installed the latest Windows updates, Internet Explorer 7, WMP updates, McAfee, and InterVideo WinDVD. I have not installed any games or any drivers.

Last night, before going to bed, I shut my laptop's lid. This morning, when I got up, i opened the lid and after pressing a key to get the computer out of hibernation mode, I got a BSoD that looks like this:

A problem as been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturers for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

Here is some information on my system:
    DELL Vostro 1510
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    T5670 @ 1.80 GHz
789 MHz, 0.99 GB of RAM

    Operating System: Windows XP
    Service Pack: 3

I understand the Intel Video Adapters are commonly listed in the igxpdx error, so heres mine:
Modbile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family

Also, I don't know why or how, but for some reason, that video adapter is listed twice under my Display adapters tab in the Device Management window.

I would appreciate any help anyone could provide. I'm not a very intelligent person when it comes to computers so please try and make your responses easy to understand for me. If there's any other information you need, please don't hesitate to ask me for it and I will try to include it in another post.

    Thanks

IMHO, if you are having all these problems with a 3 week old computer, I'd be contacting Dell and asking for an RMA (return merchandise authorization) to send the computer back.
