An IBM laptop with Windows XP installed. Computer started having this problem around January whenever it was brought onto our school wireless network. It would show the BSOD and restart. It just recently started doing it on my home network and now I can't really seem to keep it on for a long time. Under technical information it says ***Stop: 0x0000000A (0xFF1711F2, 0x00000002, 0x0000000, 0x804D9B64) Beginning dump of physical memory.
In doing some research I have been trying to uninstall devices and allow them to load with the default drivers. Not exactly sure if this is the best way to go. I would appreciate any help.

That should get you started. However, there are many different causes for 0x0000000A blue screen errors. If you could post the file names that are listed when the error pops up, it would really help in advising a course of action. Does the error occur in Safe Mode? How about Safe Mode with networking? Have you tried installing new drivers? From the little research I've done, it seems that this error can be caused by just about any device, so any additional info you can provide would be helpful.
    Here's some general info:
http://www.updatexp.com/stop-messages.html (STOP 0x0000000A is listed first)
http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm (scroll down a bit for STOP 0x0000000A)

I hope this helps! Good luck.

There are no files listed when it does it. I am currently working on it in safe mode and it has stayed on for about 15 minutes with no problems. I have not yet tried to use safe mode with networking. I am reading through the Microsoft articles and trying to figure out a plan of action. Thanks for the links

It might be a driver that does not get loaded in safe mode. Since it seems to do it when it is brought on to a network (was it running wirelessly at your home ?) it might be a network driver for wireless.
If you were using it wirelessly at home, try running a wire and see if you get any BSOD. If not, that may point closer to a wireless driver.

i will try to use a wire and start it up normally. it was on a wireless network both at home and on campus. like I said, originally it was only doing this on the school network but now it does it at home also. thanks again for all the help guys....i will keep you posted. on a side note, this MB was replaced just over a year ago....does IBM have a good rep for parts?

I plugged it in and it still shut down when trying to boot into windows normally. I also tried safe mode with networking and the same thing happened. I am pretty sure it must be the wireless driver. I will try to uninstall it and see what I can do. Thanks again for all the help.
