BSOD on Windows 7 & Vista!

Hi. I've been experiencing regular BSODs and CTDs, most often while gaming for a while now. I've been running Vista, but yesterday upgraded to Windows 7 hoping to solve the problem.

Perhaps ill-advisedly I performed the 'soft' upgrade, where I let it upgrade itself from the disc, rather than wiping the C Drive and basically starting again from scratch. Means I saved all my files and programmes though, which made the process far quicker and simpler for me.

Anyway, as the title suggests, I'm still getting the BSOD and CTD problem. I've checked my drivers are up to date, scanned for malware and no joy.

I would upload my minidump file, but it won't let me saying I need admin privileges. I'm on the PC's main account which is set as the admin, so I've no idea why it won't let me. Probably exposing my ignorance here.

Any help with this would be much appreciated, please let me know what further information I should provide.

You must first copy the files inside the minidump folder to your desktop, then upload the copies, not the originals.

 

Hmm, tried that, and the uploader is telling me it's an invalid file. Apologies if I'm being dense here...
