    Please help me quick!
I've got a lot of work to do and I can''t use my computer.
You'll find attached the crush history and the dump files.
After this a new blue screen occured but the analysis program tells me that it can't acces the dump file because it's damaged or smth like that.
    Thank you very much

I purchased the computer a few days ago, so everything is new

Hi Alex, welcome to Majorgeeks :)

I've had a quick look through your files and I think it looks pretty random, no consistent cause for the crashes. This often means poorly setup or malfunctioning RAM or a faulty PSU but it may also be from other causes :(

I would try to run the PC on minimum hardware with the BIOS set to defaults and the RAM timing set to the manufacturers tested settings (also in the BIOS).

So, 1 stick of RAM, disconnect the CD/DVD drive and anything attached by USB (exc. keyboard+mouse), if you have onboard graphics, you can remove the graphics card. If the crashes still happen, switch RAM sticks and try again, if it still happens, move the RAM to a different slot, etc.

Still random errors, sorry; some Memory Management, some driver/IRQ related and 1 is filesystem. I think it would be almost impossible to pinpoint the real problem from that :(

Did you buy the PC nearby or over the Internet?

I wouldn't go fooling around by opening the case as you could kill the warranty. Something you could check is how good is your RAM by running Memetest86+ . Still, you have a new machine so bring it back as you have enough ammo already. Do back up your files to CD first as all they might do is re-install your OS which wipes everything.

What make and model for curiosities sake?

Plan to return it to the company tomorrow, the hardware is not setup correctly or it has parts that are incompatible or malfunctioning.

Did you forget to attach something ^.^ ?

    oh! I'm sorry.
It's no use returning it because i've bought it by components...

    Details of your PSU please?

thank you very much. I can't find anybody to come and take a look at it...

Ok, my PSU (power source I guess) :

I can give you more info as well:

I installed windows 3 times hoping to get rid of the problem and no use, but every time I reinstalled the system it worked perfectly for that day. I go to sleep and open it the next day, the problems appear:

first: some softwares don't work properly: errors when running the executables, etc
second: if trying to install new software, problems appear like error when installing, especially if the iso contains archive...

third: the BLUE SCREENS.... as you can see in the text I attached, first they refered to memory managemt, and then, after doing some settings which another guy told me to do, they all refer to that ntoskrnl.exe file, with info like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUA and DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION

and after that started to give blue screens avery time before loading windows
so I had to run safe mode and restore it

    Thank you very much

Ok, so if you set the BIOS to optimised defaults then set the Memory latency in the BIOS manually to 9-9-9-24 and the DIMM voltage to 1.65v, save and reboot, do you still get errors?

let me just try it and be right back

    I've tried but didn't work
    I have reinstaled the system
probably tomorrow will crash again :(

Alex, you have many crashes with random causes, I think the RAM is not compatible.

Which BIOS version is your motherboard?

  18. Alex P

    Alex P Private E-2

I've reinstalled. same crushes this mroning...
I will look after the bios version

it says hat the version is: F5 ( P55-UD4 F5)

    Thank u, I'm really desperate

Today's crashes are more SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION errors.

Alex, I need to know if your motherboard is marked as (rev 1.0) or (rev 2.0), this is usually marked on the board.

How long does your PC stay good before crashing?

  21. satrow

    satrow Major Geek Extraordinaire

Ok Alex, a little more research and re-checking your older crash information has given me those answers.

Your PC crashes can be as close as 3 minutes apart - that makes the 'fix' very dangerous, it must be done on a stable machine!

The Rev 1 motherboards use the same BIOS as the Rev 2 'boards. Your 'board has the first BIOS listed at Gigabyte, there are many newer BIOS revisions available, 2 of them (F7 and F14) specifically describe a "Enhanced memory compatibility".

Now the problem you have is your PC must be stable to update the BIOS. If the PC crashes during BIOS update, it could mean a dead motherboard.

You should take the PC back to the store and ask the supplier to do this update. Explain to them that the memory is not compatible and that they change it or flash the BIOS to F14 for you.

    Thank you.

I did take it back this morning.

Do u wanna have a good laugh ?

I borrowed a computer from a friend in order to finish my job and guess what ?

    BLUE SCREENS...so i think it's me...I'm doomed

Look, i've attached the crushes on the new computer...

The only think that I did here was to plug in my WD external hard drive, copy the software kit from it, remove it, install the kit: Nemetcheck Allplan 2009 and the I tried 2008 convinced that this was the problem.

What can u tell me ?

My friend told me that she received blue screens before giving the comp to me, but not so often as I did since I've got it

    Any ideas ?

Thank you very much for your time! Indeed!

I hope your suppliers will give you fully compatible parts next time :)

Hmm, a borrowed machine eh? Do you know a good priest ;) ?

Ok, the 'new' machine last crashed due to an error "ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY" - only a guess - bad driver somewhere or some kind of malware. I have no experience of this error.

The earlier error (Monday) was graphics related, maybe card (getting hot? or poor power supply), gfx or DirectX drivers ... difficult to pinpoint.

The earliest crashes were varied, "0x3B (0xC0000096, 0xFFFFF800028C6873, 0xFFFFF880080B7600, 0x0) Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" was most frequent. This is usually gfx-related also.

    Hilarious isn't it ?

Thank you very much for your time and I will get back to you as soon as I have news from my suppliers. Now I'm gone go and borrow another one in attempt to crush it as well....hahahaha..god I hate computers. Next time I'll buy a mac
