Well I just built a new comptuer...well upgraded really.

    i5 2500k
    Sabertooth p67 (latest bios 1502)
    2x2gbs of Gskill ripjaw (F3-12800CL6D-4GBXH)
    corsair 750tx
    evga gtx470
    Samsung spinpoint f3 1tb
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I only listed things i think are relevant to the problem. But if more information is require do not hesitate to ask. My problems began a few days after the build. At first chrome kept crashing. The "Aw Snap!" kept coming up and it said shockwave had crashed. I thought ok maybe chrome is acting up. I tried firefox with similar results. Very strange...lets try IE...nope same thing! At this point I ran a full virus scan but nothing came up using Microsoft security essentials. Then i noticed that my definitions were out of date. So I began to update, near the end of the download I got a BSOD. The error code that popped up was 0x00000050. After several attempts to update i got the same result but a few times also go 0x0000001A.

So I uninstalled security essentials and then reinstalled it, updated, ran again, and no virus or malware was found. Then I tried using CCleaner, I cleared up the cache and fixed all the registry errors several times.

Theres 4 dumps files attached, I dont know if they will help but I hope so.

After that the problem went away for a few days Then all of sudden it started again today. I dont know what is going. And now sometimes the areo theme goes to basic for a while and then back to normal.

Im completely lost on this problem. Some guy said it might be my memory but I ran a quick 20 min memtest in Windows and It came out ok, even prime 95 ran fine and Super Pi.

Sorry my description is choppy and kinda hard to read, its near the end of the semester for college and im tired of typing. Please let me know what you guys can come up with, I have seen you help out many people with success and have found great solution on here before Thanks to everyone in advance.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks!

Just a quick question, are you overclocking (hardware/software) anything?

I uninstalled all the Asus Suite software, one becuase it was annoying and gave no information that I already didnt know. I am OC by bios to 4.0ghz at 1.26 volts. Of course in gaming nothing ever happens, it just happneed again with shockwave crashing and such.

Im feeling your going to suggest add more voltage to the cpu?

Nah, was wondering what would happen if you set everything to default. :)

O well lol, I went at head and bumped up my CPU voltage from 1.26 to 1.27
and then just to see bumped my ram from 1.50 to 1.525. I will see how this goes... Thanks for the suggestion! If this doesnt work I will go back to stock.

Nope that didnt work either, I moved the voltages back but left the memory at 1.525.

Strangley enough I got a friend to help me trouble shoot. During a Malware Bytes full scan it froze the computer near the end of the scan and then the computer restarted. A dump file was made for that freeze too. So now im confused....

When playing games and such the computer runs great, Battlefield BC2 runs fantastically and every other demanding game. But then while browsing around on the internet the shockwave crashes and then chrome freaks out and everything. Im at complete loss...

I think I am going to run 1 stick of memory and see what happenes, my friend also suggested that it could be a dead dimm slot on the motherboard as well....

    Any Ideas?

Ok, this thread can be closed. Turns out that even though memtest passed, my memory sticks didnt like something about the computer or something weird. I bought some Corsair ddr3 1600mhz and its playing find with my system. Just to check i opened up like 50 youtube videos at once and shockwave player didnt crash. Unlike the Gskill Ripjaw that i had. I know its a weird way to test but so far my computer has been on without errors for about 6 hours without problems. The gskill crashed the system within 30 mins after freezing and non responsive programs.

Also as for the malware bytes test, the full and quick scan both came back clean, as well as the Microsoft security essentials. Also no suspicious processes or programs have been seen so far, I think it was just a hardware problem. The errors I got on the BSOD were:

    0x00000050
    0x0000003B
    0x0000001A

More annoying this Gskill I got was very low latencies (6-8-6-24) @ 1600mhz and said that it was specifically desinged for p67 chipsets. O well Im just glad I got the problem fixed.

Thanks so much guys for the suggestions really appreciate the help!.:cool Hopefully this will help someone else with this problem.

    Case closed.
