Hello guys! My first post here :D

So, i was playing L4D2, and i needed to go and i quit the game and then hibernated my PC. I went to the toilet, and came back, and saw that my PC turned on. I think "WTF, i hibernated it!" So I see that theres a windows error! And i looked that it was caused by a BSOD. So, downloaded BlueScreenView and looked up ( image is attached ). I looked that it was cause by an ATi driver. atikmdag.sys
Any ideas? I really need help, since this is my 2nd BSOD, and no, I dont OC, nor was overheated ( 82ÂșC GPU and CPU ). This is a new PC, 3 weeks old. ASUS N61Jq-JX040V

Unfortunatly, i didnt see my BSOD, since my PC was closed and i was on the toilet :/

Help apreciated and thanks in advance..

I wouldn't sweat it just yet, you sayin it only happend once? coulda just been a little too quick to go to hibernate, right after quitting a game.

No, the BSOD happened then i hibernated. SO, i hibernated, some secs later, maybe 1-2 secs, it happened the BSOD: Then it was a normal reboot.

So, if i just ended the game, and i hibernated right away, it can BSOD...? That doesnt make sense... Why does it BSOD after quitting the game and hibernating...?

It's just a guess, but a game can take up to 1 to 2 gb of ram and when you quit, it dumps it from the ram. then going to hibernate, which dumps whatever is in your ram to the hard drive then shuts down. like i said it's just a guess. There have been other problems associated with that, including video cards and related software/drivers. you might also want to look into that as well, either by checking the forums of the video card manufacturer, and also make sure the drivers are up to date.

I would test it out a little more. Try to replicate the problem, both by going to hibernate right after playing the game, and with nothing else going on, to see if you can make it do it again.

As much as hard i tried to understand, i didn't :/
Is there a way of telling that in a.... simple way? Im not a pro in PCs, just someone that knows somethings.
