Getting a BSOD when ejecting USB devices or ejecting laptop from docking station. The issue does not happen every time, but continues to occur about once every week or every other week. I assume this is an issue with the drivers not releasing or uninstalling correctly, but I'm not sure what I can try to keep this from reoccurring.

Running XP SP3. I've attached the latest mini-dump.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

might wanna try to download the latest chipset drivers for your computer. If you need help with this, post the make/model of your pc, or your motherboard.

Thanks for the advice, but there's only one chipset driver available and it's already installed, no updates have been released. Its' s Dell Latitude D630.

Do you use any kind of harddrive encryption or USB encryption software?

No, I'm not using any kind of encryption on USB drives or the hard drive.

Happened again. This time while ejecting from the docking station. I've attached the latest MiniDump which states the following:

    MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS (44)
A driver has requested that an IRP be completed (IoCompleteRequest()), but
the packet has already been completed. This is a tough bug to find because
the easiest case, a driver actually attempted to complete its own packet
twice, is generally not what happened. Rather, two separate drivers each
believe that they own the packet, and each attempts to complete it. The
first actually works, and the second fails. Tracking down which drivers
in the system actually did this is difficult, generally because the trails
of the first driver have been covered by the second. However, the driver
stack for the current request can be found by examining the DeviceObject
fields in each of the stack locations.

Anybody able to tell what driver(s) may be causing the issue from the MiniDump?

What you might want to do is go into Device Manager and on all your components check to see if there are updated drivers.

You might also consider flashing your BIOS.

    Hi

What make and model PC do you have?

Try a clean boot and see if this happens and instructions for this are HERE

Likelyhood is a driver at fault so do you have any yellow ! marks in Device manager and if so by what devices? also are you running any beta drivers?

Just wanted to follow up. Actually discovered another laptop (same model - Dell Latitude D630) having the same issue. Not sure exactly what caused the issue, but updating to the latest BIOS from the Dell site seems to have resolved it. Haven't had any more BSODs in about a month now.
