A few months ago I had just purchased a new hard drive (Western Digital Caviar SE 250G). I installed stuff on it and everything was working okay until a few weeks ago. I had restarted my computer, the Dell logo loaded, but instead of loading Windows, it sat in DOS with the blinking cursor. I talked to one of my computer friends and he said the drive was failing to load Windows and it sounded to him like a Boot Loading problem or something. So I grabbed my windows XP disk and popped it in and was planning on doing "FixMBR" and "FixBoot" and whatever else he told me to enter. However, after booting from the CD, having setup load all the files, and having setup say (Setup is now starting Windows) I get the BSOD with the error code (***STOP:0x0000007B (0xF7C7A524,0xC0000034
0x00000000,0x00000000). I looked online for help but couldn't find any other than unplugging any external things so I did (just left monitor, keyboard and mouse in). Any help as to how to get around this would be greatly appreciated.
