    Here's what is says:
    C0000221 {Bad Image Checksum}
    The image SHDOCVW.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

    I haven't spent too much time looking this up just yet, I figured I'd post here first to get the ball rolling. Thanks!

    First thought would be a failing hard drive. :)

    Most of the info I've found so far points to faulty RAM. I've run 2 different RAM diagnostic programs, over 4 hours on each, and got 100% pass, no errors. I haven't run the HD test yet. Besides the hard drive, does anyone else have any ideas?
    Thanks!

    shdocvw.dll is found in my systems32 folder and in my dll cache along with lots of uninstallers for windows updates. Both give a date of Oct. 11, 2007 so I guess that's when my 2K patch modified the file.

    Would running sfc /scannow fix it?

    If you have access to windows, even in safe mode check if the dates on both in systems32 and dll cache match. Maybe that's the problem, one is incorrect.
