BSOD with nvmcp.sys

Hi, I've been getting the BSOD with the problem being nvmcp.sys. I've been having this problem since about 4 days ago so I decided to join this forum to find some answers. My computer runs fine with everything else, but as soon as I turn on some music, almost everytime, exactly about 3-4 minutes after the music plays, I get the BSOD. I tried updating my nForce Audio Drivers to the newest (5.10). But whenever I extract the files, the installation manager comes up and then just disappears after about 5 seconds. I have also tried manually placing the files into my system32/drivers folder (which technically means I now have the 5.10 drivers), but I still get the BSOD's. It only happens when I play music, though. Here are my computer specs:

AMD Athlon (TM) XP 2500+
1.84 GHz
512 MB of DDR400? (I'm not too sure about this)
Windows XP Home with SP 1 (ONE..!!)
nVidia System Utility Says I still have the 4.42 for nForce Audio Codec (But I was playing music fine with those)

Any suggestions as to what I can do without formating everything would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank for the time.
