Anyone know how to fix this? All the locations of files that describe this problem can not be found. I don't know if it's a software, hardware, or malware problem.

Usually happens randomly with internet explorer, then will not startup unless I use the vista disk to repair the install. I also used to get the bsod under usbsys, but i deleted the drivers and let windows reinstall them, that seemed to work.

 

Have you got the latest drivers installed I would start with the Nvidia graphics first. Have you looked in 'Event Logger' to see reports ?? And what Wattage is your Power Unit .

 

Power supply is 300 watt. I have all of the latest drivers installed, besides the latest driver for my bios, i get an enternal error when trying to update it, then a bsod. Do you think my power supply is too weak? I have a second power supply on hand that I can add to my pc.

Your 300 Watt PSU needs upgrading.. Go to this site below and callculate your usage .. You should be looking at a PSU that will handle 600/650 Watt and its best to buy a decent one for reliability but if your pocket is strained go for a mid range price ...

I checked it, and my power supply should just handle it. Do you think I may have some malware issues?

 

I will still go with a meatier PSU as 300 watt is very small. Can you Borrow a bigger one and test run it. Although you said with the calculator that it is sufficient I very much doubt it as when a load is required it has no reserve to use.
