The new $2.1 Million Bugatti Veyron is the most expensive convertible in the world,

Design flaws? Once you take the roof off, there's nowhere to store it.

Solution? It comes with a carbon fiber umbrella that snaps into the roof opening. Probably shouldn't be doing 253 miles an hour with it installed though.

Beautiful car, but for 2.1 million you'd think the designers would have made concessions for storing the roof:confused I wonder how the Bugatti would do against my dream car, the Mercedes SLR? I think the price reflects that each car is completely hand crafted. There are only about 300 in existence, and they probably don't want everyone to have them. It has a 16 cylinder engine, and at 253 miles an hour Laura, it probably outruns some airplanes.

Though, for $2 million, you should be able to get yourself a P51 mustang, which reaches speeds of up to 400 miles an hour.

It doesn't quite make the requirements of a convertable though does it? Maybe it's just me but put a bar above in the centre and you've got yourself and aero top. It's milage must be only about 4 miles to the gallon!

 

If you can pay 2.1 million for the car, you can afford someone driving along carrying your roof for you.:-D

 

That, or you've proven yourself wise enough to check the weather station before you venture out in it.

2.1 million? So let me get this straight. The normal veyron costs around 1 million, how can the convertible cost twice as much, and essentially the only difference being that the roof has been cut off Also; in my opinion it's just not good for the rigidity of the chasis. But yeah, one could probably just pay someone to come algong in a support vehicle just for the roof I recently saw a pic on jalopnik where someone had not one but two veyrons in his garage, and a lexus on the driveway, way to go One as a daily driver, the other to keep in mint condition.

Some of those exotic cars are very nice looking, but what good is a car that
can go that fast? Where, in the USA can you drive that fast? I've heard that
renting time on a race track carries a very high price.

 

I'm sorry its still a pretty big ugly car if you ask me and its too freaking heavy,it'd be like driving a bus.

Veyron against my dream car and in my opinion the greatest car ever made.

I've always been a bit of a stat junkie and the Veyron seems like it will beat anything in a straight line on paper but the numbers on this one do kinda lie "unless you have a mile long road."

The F1 costs twice as much now though at $4M not bad for a car made 17 years ago so you would have saved some money with the Bugatti:-D
