Hi, I’m new here and I know this thread is a bit old and talks about XP, but maybe someone can help.
I have Vista Home Premium, HP Pavillion dv6000 that gives me this irql_not_less_or_equal blue screen each time my laptop is restarted. For the first 2-3 minutes everything seems to be fine, but right after that, without doing anything I get this crash. It started a couple of days ago and I can’t recall installing anything new. I tried the advices provided in other threads but with no luck. Is it possible that this might happen due to a recent Windows auto-update? Or is it a problem with one of my drivers (as mentioned in this irql_not_less_or_equal thread)?

    Thanks,

    Marlon.

This error usually points to a software problem. Something is loading at startup that doesn't agree with your system. Try eliminating all of the startup items, and see if your system remains stable. If it does, then add back you startup items one at a time until you find the culprit.
