Building a web site

Hi all, was just wondering if any1 could tell me whats the best program to build a website with? just trying to get 1 built now so just wondering whats the best to use.

If you're starting out, thats the best way to go. Trust me, things like FrontPage will only cause you more greif.

 

Ty goldfish!!!! Looks like a nice site where im gonna be doing alot of reading I did try frontpage ages ago and yeah it was a nightmare lol even tried dreamweaver and that was worse was banging my head on my desk lol

wysiwyg's are a bad idea in general. Frontpage and Dreamweaver produce the nastiest, ugliest code on earth.
Peronally, I use editplus www.editplus.com , for scripted sites (ASP,PHP) and Visual Studio.NET for ASP.NET websites.

I know people who swear by Context

I'll admit, I use Dreamweaver, but never the WYSIWYG editing.

 

always been a notepad kinda guy myself. its simple, and you wont get distracted from the basics.

 

Context isn't bad either. I used it for a bit.
