could be some of the parts, could be the chassis front panel could be a lot of things.

That's what I've figured out so far.. I'm going through the same exact thing. I'm about to bring my computer in to best buy or micro center tomorrow to have them deal with it.

    Hi

As Toke mentions please give us some more information on does anything spin up, be it fans the CPU fan, mainly, the HDDs does the CD drive power up etc

One thing I would be tempted to do as this motherboard has been lying around for a year un-used is to change the motherboard battery for a new one, then try booting up. May also need to really check the case power button and HDD light connectors are on the right motherboard connections for polarity also (+/-) as connecting these cables can be a pita at times, as not all case connections match up to how the motherboard has them laid out, similar to the below image (its just a image to discribe what I mean and not the actual cable placements)

Can you give us a run down of the hardware used and the make and model of them, including how many ram sticks do you have installed?

As the others have mentioned more info on the motherboard (brand and model number) will be needed. You also didn't say if you were using the motherboard's on board video or have a video card in one of the slots. Onboard video could not be working if that's how you have it hooked up.

    Hello all

Well the DVD player does not turn on, THe HD does turn, the fans do turn on,
Im using the onboard video. Im using only one memory stick, the motherboard is ECS g31t-m. So conclusion the DVD player does not turn on, and dont see an image. Hope this is the info you requested.

    Thanks

Did you put a new Battery in as DavidGP said ? Do you have a Blank/Black screen with a small white square top left of screen, if this is so it will be the battery needs renewing. When you say The 'DVD Player'' I assume you mean the DVD/CD Rom where your place your Operating Disc in. If there is NO light at all check your power lead is well seated/connected, try another connector. Once again have you connected the 4 pin extra power lead, this is usually a Yellow and Black cable that connects to the White/Transparent 4 pin connector on your motherboard. Are you using the correct memory ie. Dual Channel DDR-2 240 pin.
