    It's certainly a nice setup.

Do earth yourself on the case before doing anything
Don't rush putting it together, take your time and don't force anything in as this causes damage.

64bit operating system isn't essential, some programs won't run on it so many people are currently staying with their 32bit operating systems, also looking into the future for when Vista becomes available later this year.

Raptors suck. Exorbitant price, small capacity.

If HDTach is to be trusted, my Western Digital Sata 200gb 3.0gb/s drive performs just as well, and outperforms in burst speed. I can post screenshots of tests I've taken with my WD and Maxtor SATA 150 w/ 16mb cache vs the 74gb Raptor.

    WD drive:

10mb/s difference. I can live with that for a cheaper price, a lot higher burst speed, and double the storage.

    Maxtor drive:

11mb/s difference. I can live with that as well, having 4 times the storage, higher burst speed, and cheaper price too.

Looks good Bert666! However, you may want to change your PSU to an Antec Neo or Smart Power 2.0. if you plan to stick with the P180 case. I have a P180 and due to the unsual placement of the PSU, you need to make sure that the MB power cable will be long enough to reach the MB, especially if the power port is near the top of the MB. The P180 is one QUIET and COOL running case and I don't think you will be disappointed. I added another 120mm fan in the front, with the 3 that are already there and it helped alittle. Good Luck!!!

I agree about the Raptors, overrated and overpriced. I would prefer a pair of Maxtors in Raid 0.

The money saved could be spent elsewhere, like a second video card, sound card, speakers etc.

I also think the AMD FX-57 is a better chip, but I still think they are a rip off.

An Athlon 3800+ ^^ is fast, much cheaper, and the performance difference is minimal in real use.

I prefer eVGA for the video card just because I'm an eVGA fanboy :D And seeing as you're already spending so much money on it, you might as well buy a second video card and use SLI.
