Building first ever rig

Hey, guys. Well, I am trying to build myself a computer. I am trying to stay right around the $800 price range. And, since this is my first computer, I do not have an operating system, a monitor, or anything to carry over from another system. These are the only for sure things that I know I want:

-An Athlon Xp 2500 processor (around $80)
-ABIT-NF7-s motherboard

that's really all I know for sure. Well, any help is greatly appreciated.

 

What do you intend to use the computer for primarily?

If its going to be for gaming you would want to set it up differently than say a machine primarily used for word processing/websurfing etc.
