Well, A switch or hub with enough ports for the computers you will connect, and some network cables will get you started. You may need some other equipment, depending on what you intend to do with your network. For instance, you may want a server to provide file shares and backups, or you may want a router and firewall to connect them all to the internet.

Let us know the operating system(s)
Are these a classroom slave network to a teachers PC?
Is the network for individuals to work at eg an office situation?
Will each pc have individual copies of software or will there be a these be located on one pc (a server)?
Will any or all require internet access
Will they keep the same users or will they need to be wiped/reset after every use as per public terminals in a library?
Do the pcs need good isolation from each other eg an internet cafe?
