Has anyone ever built a cantenna for wifi? I getting the parts now but I am not sure about my cable which is RG 58 and seems to be very lossy. Also, RS doesn't have the right connectors.

see www.freeantennas.com for designs, parts, test results. RG-58 seems quite large for card-to-antenna connections. A real quick&dirty cantenna can be made with a USB wireless adaptor and a gallon coffee can, with appropriate length USB cable.
