hi, I'm looking not to spend any more than $2500 on it. I don't have any real goals for it other than it being a gaming computer

With a $2500 budget, you could build a freekin monster gamer!!! Use an AMD X2 5000+ or 5400+, go with 4x1gb DDR2-800, drop the 7600GS and go with dual 7950GT cards in SLI (or even 8600GTS in SLI). IMO a 200gb HD isn't big enough these days, especially in a monster PC! Install a 500gb SATA2 hard drive, or, if you really need fast data access, go with dual 10,000rpm Raptor drives at 150gb each in a RAID setup.... with your budget, the sky is the limit! I could (and probably would) go nuts if I had that kind of dough to build a PC! Anyway- all this is just my opinion, and others will differ, but with that high of a budget, the specs you listed seem a bit low. Especially the CPU and the video card. Personally, I wouldn't recommend using any GS series with NVidia; they have slower memory speeds and slower engine clock speeds. Look for the GT or GTS or GTX when shopping for NVidia cards..... if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.....

Oh- one other thing: when building a monster gamer like this, do NOT skimp on the power supply! I'd go with at least a 700w and with power supplies, you really get what you pay for. For example: a 500w PSU that costs $110.00 will out-perform a 700w PSU that costs $125.00 ($125 for a 700w PSU would be considered VERY cheap!).
