built-in webcam doesn't work

    I bought my advent 5611 laptop 5 months ago and since then my webcam has never worked. for instance I cannot chat on webcam since it cannot be detected and I canot find it on device manager to set it up. anybody knows what I can do?

    have you tried holding down the 'Fn' key and pressing F11? This should bring a blue light on next to the webcam, and will allow it to work with Skype, MSN etc.

    Apparently this is a very common problem on the Advent 5611

    If this doesnt work let me know
