System: Windows 10 Home 64 bit, version 1909 buiild 18363.900
    Laptop: HP 17-by1xxx
Webcam: Built-in HP Webcam; driver is Realtek DMFT-RGB

The resolution of the built-in webcam is not very good. I will be doing some online teaching and I really need better resolution than the built-in webcam seems to provide. I have updated the above driver; resolution did not improve.

    (1) Is there any way I can increase the resolution?
    (2) Would different webcam driver software make a difference?
    (3) If the answers to #1 and #2 is "no", should I purchase an external Webcam that connects via USB3.0?
    (4) If the answer to #3 is "yes", what should I look for when purchasing the web cam?

    Thank you.

I should also add that when I launch the Camera app, here are the best resolutions that I can set:
    Photo 0.3MP 4:3 (640x480)
    Video 480p 4:3 30fps
