Bulletin Board Packages

I'm looking to set up a bulletin board for a Madden sports league. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what my best option would be. The three software packages with which I'm familiar are:

1. vbulletin

2. phpBB

3. Invision

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendation regarding these packages. I know phpBB and Invision are free, and that vbulletin costs $160 for the Owner's License. Are there major differences between these packages? Which one do you think is superior? Are there other good packages out there I'm missing? If vbulletin is the best, is it worth the money? Thanks a lot for any inputs.
