It has happened again, I have malware, I think.

symptoms
slow window switching
slow window loading
slow to respond
popups

protection
I use Spybot
I have spyware blaster
I use CCleaner
I have windows windowsXP with all updates
I dont download files except from legit sources
I dont visit "dangerous" sites

so how do I prevent my computer from being infected all the time?
I checked out

and debug my computer

thank you for the link,
I have that link in my 1st post, what I'm trying to do is see what I'm doing wrong? I thought I did everything I could in the " How to Protect yourself from malware!" thread
but I keep getting infected, every 6-8 months and I dont get it

You didn't mention having any Antivirus and you didn't mention a firewall. You should absolutely have an AV.
You mentioned not going to dangerous sites. Only you know what sites you are going to and what you are doing on your computer. If you are continuing to get infected, you are clearly doing things that are causing the infection.

You have started multiple threads in the Malware forum, yet have not followed through with ever going through all the steps in the removal procedures. If you have not done so, it could be possible that you have never fully gotten rid of previous infections.

All things you should be doing are in the thread you have already linked to: How to Protect yourself from malware!

Plus, chaslang has given you advice here back in March: still lost about malware protection

I guess I didn't have anything wrong with my computer, it's running fine now.

I forgot about chaslangs post in my thread, opps.

I was trying to just do what I can to protect a new computer, I wanted to make sure that thread I linked to was uptodate.

Please give me some advice here about if Im overpaying for a new computer
