I've got a .wmv (Windows Media) movie file that I want to burn to a DVD in such a way that the disk can be inserted into a normal DVD player and play properly.

How would I do this? What program should I use?

NeroVision Express 2: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3381.html . It is shareware, so you will have to buy it after the trial period. I have it and it's worth it, you can add menus and chapters for your movies, and it recodes WMV and others for DVD playback. There is also Roxio, but I've never tried it.
