    Yes, there is.

Roxio Video Wave. I think that does what you want. My friend uses that. He made a VCD that had a menu with video and pictures to view. Music played in the background. He selected a different song for each submenu. He showed me pictures that was kind of like a slideshow.

I'm pretty sure it was Roxio Video Wave. Go to there website.

Yep as the Colonel said Roxio do make software that can allow you to view your digital pictures on some DVD players ( the players need to be able to read VCD or Kodak PhotoCD formats etc )

    Roxio Photosuite

Roxio EZCD6 ( has a DVD builder which will burn disks in a slideshow format ) http://www.roxio.com/en/products/ecdc/features.jhtml

Also Nero from version 5 upwards should be able to create a SVCD slideshow http://www.nero.com/en/631945920922716.html

    or you have some others........

Also Adobe Photoshop Album 1 & 2 both allow you to as well as manage your photo collection, have the option to burn to DVD or VideoCD.

I have version 1 ( actually didnt know version 2 was out yet  ) and I find it a great way of cataloging both my home/work photos and artwork, plus wallpaper pics in one big database... saves having to search 3 hds for pics!

One I would definitely not recommend is Ashampoo Burning Studio 11. I am not a novice but this one is an absolute loser! Either freezes, or makes pages so large that control buttons cannot be reached and the list goes on. Don't waste your time of become so frustrated you will give up!
