Burning a music cue/bin file to DVD

Hi

I work as a DJ and use a program called Virtual DJ Pro. If I choose, Virtual DJ will save the file as cue/bin. Then using imgburn, I burn the file to cds. I burn mix CDs for recreational listening but as you know, cds are limited to 700 mb. I would like to burn these files to DVD for longer playing time. I have tried using imgburn and Nero 9 but all I get is an unplayable dvd. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance your help or suggestions!

I do not think a CD player can read audio DVD's,the lasers are situated differently,you might be able to play them back on a DVD player as most can also read CD's too with the audio-output patched to a sound system.i have an older AV system with a single DVD disc player that i use to playback audio and video disc.

 

mimon is correct, you cannot play a dvd on a cd player. Even audio burned to a dvd will not play on most standard dvd players unless you burn them in a special DVD-Audio format.

 

i use this app http://www.pazera-software.com/products/audio-extractor/ to convert audio from mp4/mkv video files to DVD compliant mp3,its also a universal converter that should be able to reconvert CD mp3 to DVD mp3,use the 2 pass encode to maintain the audio quality,then you ought to be able to burn them on DVD media,to playback on a DVD player.

 

An mp3 is an mp3 whether it is on a CD or DVD disc.
