Burning an ISO

i was given some ISO files all but 1 are DVD. The 1 ISO wants to burn to a CDr but it should be DVD. Is there a way to burn it to a DVD? when i try it tells me that it has to be a CDr even though it is to large of a file to put on a CD.

 

What size is this ISO that must be burned to a CDR?

What is the exact message? Even if it asks for a CD it should write to a DVD as long as you have a DVD burner.

 

sorry, your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc. please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the seeting of your compilation to make it compatible with the current disc.


i looked in all of the setting and did not see anything that would force nero to burn this iso to a DVD. like i said all of the other iso's burned to DVD

 

Your iso - is it a movie file ?- if it is you may need a dual layer dvd disc, as opposed to a normal dvd - I assume your writer is capable of dual layer burning.

 

i used magic iso to extract the files, it is a video. i tried to burn the image to a dvd but magic iso also stated it is for a CDR. is there a way to take these files and create a new image that will want to burn as a DVD

 

What are the filetypes?

MagicIso should let you make a new Iso from the extracted files. Something like new compilation>add the extracted files>write to new.iso.

 

largest file is VOB, others are VOB's, IFO's and BUP

 

great, magic iso will not create an image larger than 300m on trial version. is there a free software that you know of to create an image?

 

You can just burn the extracted images.

I don't have Nero installed on this computer so from memory.

Just make a folder Movie. Inside Movie make an AUIDIO_TS folder and a VIDEO_TS folder. Put all the extracted files in VIDEO_TS.

In Nero Express choose Burn Image from HD. Probably the last choice. Add files button and browse until it accepts a folder. (It may accept Movie or it may make you go to VIDEO_TS).
