burning audio cd's with nero

some of the audio cd's i burn from mpeg with nero won't play in all cd players, is there a way to fix this??..i want to play the audio cd..and if i find something lika an old dead concert that is free to give away, i want my friends to be able to use them and only half of them can

 

have you tried slowing down the speed when you burn? I normally burn music at 16x and I can play cd's in my home and car stereo normally without a problem..... just a suggestion..

 

its a protection thing...i know that blauplunkt won't play them and the higher end players have some kind of protection to protect against piracy, i think, but it goes by burn, not copyright, i think

 

I've never had a problem duping audio CDs. I agree with Ricko0 though... burning at a lower speed seems to help. I burn audio CDs at 4x and SVCDs no higher than 2x.

Are you copying on the fly or are you ripping to an image and then burning it?

 

I am downloading mp3's and trying to make audio cd's, they work in most players but not all i am using nero 6+

 

Some older and cheaper cd players flat don't work well with burned cds. The color blobs are not nearly as precise and defined as the physical pits in commercial cds. Burning at slower speeds makes more defined color blobs on cdrs, and some players will play them that won't play them burned at high speed. Try a slow burn and see if that helps.

 

i will give it a try i now burn at 12x i'll cut it down
