Hi, I've been burning dvd's no problem however I have a few that are around the 145 min mark. While the capacity in GB is ok and will fit on my burnt copy, the only blank dvd's I have say that the capacity is 120 mins.

My questions is, is there any way and I can get the movies down into the 120 min bracket or will I have to split the movie and put it on 2 seperate dvd's (would really rather not do this!)

    Thanks!

DVDs can be burned with different quality settings. Standard play will fit 120 min on the disc. To fit 145 min on it, you have to burn it with long play.

I use Roxio's Easy CD/DVD Creator V6.0, and have to select resolutions pretty much manually. Different programs do act differently, which is why I'm specifying the software package I use. Personally I would like to be able to accurately predict what will fit on a DVD before I burn it, but since I can't I use RW discs.
