I've tried multiple programs. I used WinX DVD author. It will convert the file to VOB just fine, but when I go to burn it, it says there is no blank dvd in the drive, so I put another one in and another, and it still says the same thing. I got frustrated so I tried Windows DVD Maker, it gets to almost 2 percent of the encoding process and it says an error occured. I also tried DVDstyler, which failed as well. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there a better program I can use?

It might be better if you described what you are actually trying to accomplish! From the VOB files, I can see that you are attempting to copy/burn a movie DVD? :)

Handbrake is primarily an encoding tool. Its ripping/copying functionality is rudimentary at best.

It can create data dvds, not movie dvds

I'll try those programs. Yes, I'm trying to make a copy of a movie for DVD. I bought the DVD-R which was supposed to work with my DVD player, but I can't even test it out until I get it to burn the movie.

Maybe your DVD burner has gone bad. See if you can swap it for another drive or buy a new one.

I tried the programs that were free that you guys listed and they still didn't work. I tried DVDFlick, and it converted and encoded the movie files, but it didnt have an option that I could see to burn so I burned it manually, but that didn't work in the DVD player.

DVDFlick should have installed ImgBurn as it's default burning program. Make sure you have a blank disk in the DVD/RW drive before you start DVDFlick.

You do have a DVD/RW drive don't you, not a DVD-ROM drive? Just checking.

Thank you so much! I got it to work with DVDFlick and IMGBurn. It even works on my DVD player! I was so excited I ran outside to tell my husband I got it to work finally. Thank you guys for the help!
